HOG'S YOUTH GROUP
Open to 4th grade through
12th grade!!
We typically meet upstairs in the Jr. High room. We discuss scripture from the days scripture readings in church. We also watch movies such as Joan of Arcadia and discuss how the themes in the shows are present in teens lives today.
Not only do we meet several times each month on Sunday afternoons for teen fellowship, we also participate in field trips to Elitches, Water World, Colorado Rockies games, Family Fun Pool Days and Pumpkin Patches throughout the year. Our Youth group also strives to build upon principles of leadership, religious growth and self-esteem.
We welcome all Jr. & Sr. High Youth from the surrounding communities. Please come share with us in some fun, laughter and Christian fellowship.
Upcoming events:
Sunday, July 25th from 12:00-3:00 p.m. we will meet at the church and then head off to Boondocks for a couple hours of play at put put or go karts. Open to all 4th graders through 12th graders. Please bring $10 and your parent/guardian will need to sign a permission slip. Please sign-up at the Welcome Center, e-mail the church office if you would like to go with us.
For more information about our youth program, please contact the church office and ask for Keeli Ayars our Youth Group leader, or click on the newsletter link to the left. Hope you join us!
Sunday August 8th 2010: Water World Day. Come watch our very own II Reign perform and enjoy some of the best water slides in the United States. For Safety reasons, we ask that anyone under 13 be accompanied by an adult and everyone 13 and over be prepared to use the buddy system. Tickets will cost $20 (they are usually $35!). Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, however, non-factory sealed bottles and glass will not be allowed. We will meet at church at 1:00 to slather on sunscreen and drive over. Because Ryan is performing it is necessary to RSVP to me so that we can plan for extra drivers if needed. And as always, please feel free to bring friends!!
Sunday August 22nd 2010 at 5:30 p.m. Parent BBQ. We will meet at church for a Parent/Youth BBQ. We can get to know each other over a hamburger or hot dog. We plan to have a very fun year and we would like for everyone to know what youth group is about.
