UNITED METHODIST MEN
ACCEPTING NEW MEMBERS
The United Methodist Men’s goal is for the men of the church to become friends, followers and fishermen. Our spiritual journey is an adventure that inspires friends to become followers of Jesus, and followers to become friends. Through outreach projects men become fishermen and servant leaders.
Men of all ages are invited to join. The United Methodist Men meet for breakfast the third Saturday of each month at 8 am. A short program or work project follows the breakfast fellowship. In the past programs have included:
· Computer Technology and safeguarding
· Personal Travel and Life Experiences
· Financial Planning
· Breakfast with the Mayor of Thornton
The United Methodist Men serve our church and community by volunteering for projects such as:
Moving an old shed to make way for our new 2 ½ car shed. This included the demolition and removal of a smaller shed as well.
Perform the outdoor cooking duties for the spring and fall flings (Barbeques provide a great opportunity to participate in fellowship with other people),
Helping unload pumpkins for the church’s pumpkin patch. This entails removing pumpkins from a tractor trailer (It was half full or half empty, depending on your perspective) and stacking them for sale. It was a good time for fellowship and comparing what parts of the body hurt the following day, and helping to sponsor our church youth programs.
We can also put your name on our e-mail list and a reminder will be sent to you about the breakfast a week in advance. Click HERE to sign-up for breakfast or for e-mail reminders.
We know that you would enjoy some Christian fellowship with other men, and we welcome you! Please plan to come and join us. Call the office at 303.457.9267 to check breakfast schedules.
Please join us in welcoming Paul Seyforth as our President elect this year, and Jim Irwin, Vice President.
